Boiling a sweet potato bad for nutrition value?

Any thoughts? Or actual research? I tried a google search and got answers all over the place. Saw some sites that say the change in value is negligible, some that say boiling it ruins it, and some that say boiling it helps it. I normally boil the bad boys and than mash them up just cause its convent and easy to carry around mashed rather than whole potatoes.

Thoughts on this? If boiling it does reduce the vitamin content of the potato what if it is left whole and boiled in skin than peeled?

Like everything you cook, it loses some of its nutritional value, but no where enough to get upset about. The more important thing when cooking is loosing essential enymes as most are destryed from heat up to 115 and higher. If you're not eating particular foods to get certain enymes then i wouldnt bother about that either.
