breast augmentation?

hey girl.. ive had mine for sometime now wanting also a redo but going some larger im a 36 d and wanting to go up 2 cup sizes as well... mine are on top the muscle i guess thats a plus on that one that they dont move around and i like that they are saline as well, when i first got mine done i was in alot pain for 2 weeks had to take it easy your sore and dont want to do much lifting and walking around unless you have support on them.. but if your not going large i wouldnt worry so much about that one.... im not a bodybuilder so i dont have the muscle that i use to so i dont have to worry about that look i guess your talking about ... but i had a girlfreind that had hers done and was shopping like the next day go figure i heard everyone id different as far as pain and recovery.. so i had to take pain meds as well and not everyone has to do that either.... but i love them i would do it over a thousand times...lol and as far as going bigger is anyone on here larger in size due to implant redo and if you are , are you happy ? ..lol do they hurt your back....lol.. im sorda afraid to get mine done a second time its really no fun...lol till the effect and the pain wears off... but good luck and do make sure you are sure about the size with the doc i wanted alot larger and they didnt give me what i wanted from the get go...

i personnally have naturally d boobs. i had them lifted to be perkier and added a lil more!! mine are under the muscle also saline, which is the way you should get them IMO. i life very heavy as well i have never had any prpblems!! i just dont think flat really heavy is a good idea! they should not shift at all though and you will be told by your doctor to do no exercising for three weeeks and even after that you may not want to train your chest for a lil bit longer than that but resume to working out after three weeks!!

wow. no offense, but some wrong advice. check out www.implantinfo.com.

in short: if you are considering lifting hard after a ba (breast augmentation), then you are limited to only above the muscle. again, depends on how hard you'll continue working out, but judging from your pic, hard for you means really fucking hard.

if you don't want them to stick out like missiles, then do NOT get high-profile implants (which are most doctors' first choice). you can visit the website of mentor and mcghan to research the exact specifications of their saline implants (smooth or textured), measure your current chest, etc. approach this mathmatically, not based on what one or two other people did.

also, you WILL find that 90% of all redo's (2nd, 3rd ba's) were done b/c the ladies wanted to go larger. keeping that in mind, pick the size you want (i.e. C), and then get a half to full size bigger (i.e., large C to regular D).

i've met chyna and her boobs are not very nice. they're good, considering all that she does (wrestling, lifting, porn), but you could do a lot better.

incision site: nipple; don't do otherwise.

as for down time. it cannot be stressed more: take plenty of time off! if you don't, you jeapardize screwing up the implants. you should take a minimum of 1 week off from the gym, 2-4 weeks off from upper body, and 4-8 weeks off from chest or lats.

good luck.

i flat about 135, when i was doing it ive lessesned it and flat dumbells about 55lbs. and diegotailand is right! i want mine bigger so defianately go bigger then you want by a few cc. ive seen your pictures your boobs look good now and by the way we do have the same body structure:)

my wife has them, her's are over the muscle, and she has no problems with them. She lifts 4 days a week, and cardio 3 days. From what I know, they won't put the implant under the muscle unless you have very little breast tissue (tiny tiny A cup). If you already have decent size breasts, implants won't look right under the muscle.
My wife has also stated she wish's she had added an extra few cc's now that she has had them about 5 years.

that isnt true under the muscle is better as far as appearnce and like i stated before i had d when i started and they are behind the muscle!! and i have no problems minx just talk to your doctor and let him guide you!! also get a few opinions!! good luck

it cannot/cannot be stated enough: get multiple (like 10-15) opinions. case in point: friend X went to about 1-5 docs in newport beach area; they recommended a variety of highly invasive procedures. another 1-5 docs in long beach/l.a. recommended a slight variation. and another 1-5 docs in vegas recommended entirely different procedures. WTF? in the end, it basically came down to friend X doing tons of research online (directly with mcghan and mentor), and choosing the "image" she ultimately wished to have.

don't get enamoured by a doc's bedside manners...or his nice office...etc. you're not marrying him, and the procedure is so easy that you'll probably see him less than you'd see a radiologist or dentist... get multiple opinions, PLEASE!

if you aspire to exercise by either 1) lifting heavy weights with your upper torso, or 2) running/jumping vigorously, then there really is only one option for above/below muscle: you need above. whether it ripples more or will look like tennis-ball-halves is irrelivant. you have to do this if you expect to grow large, natural pecs. to avoid rippling, doc's usually overfill implants. this makes them hard. which then leads to the tennis-ball-half look. sorry, but life aint easy. the way i've seen it (in only about 10-30 women in your condition), you have to choose: look good with clothes (pushup bra) on, or look good naked. rarely does it come out right for both. you'll see.

(aforementioned does NOT apply to t.t.'s case: it's apples and oranges (halves?) between you and her...IF you plan to lift heavy, and depending on your existing breast tissue.)

I had my breasts done the first of may. I went for several opinions and each said I had to go over the muscle because my pecs were to "thick". I am a competitive body builder not a power lifter. I do lift pretty heavy. My max bench is 160lbs. I took one full week off then I started cardio. My dr. cleared me in three weeks. I started light but I would say I was back to my normal weight lifting within 6 weeks. I have 400cc each side (a good D cup) and I have had no problems. Just let pain be your guide.

I have gone to several consultations and decided not to get them.
As someone who lifts "heavy, I mean heavy" you would be at the greatest risk for damaging your implants. As the bag rubs across your ribs, overtime it will develop a weakness there, leak and deflate. This is what every surgeon told me.
If you compete in physique, they will look their worst when (in my opinion) you need them to look their best, and that's when you are under 12% BF. At that point they look like rippled up bags under your skin. Even if under the muscle. I have seen this at my shows and its gross. The surgeons specifically told me that they would be very obviously rippled at a low BF and suggested considering silicone gel or the new silicone material that is like a gummy bear.
These are harder to get because of FDA regs. And again, if they burst I'd be really really screwed because that material is not absorbed like saline.
So until I can get what I want, and that's a little fullness that looks pretty when I'm dieted down, I have decided against this for those reasons.
The thing is, I have an athletic look and worked hard for my pecs. I can't wear pretty tops but I can bang it in the gym. That's who I am so that's what I look like. I don't look like a stripper or a bimbo because I'm not....
I'm an athlete.

cedartree -

excellent points, especially with regard to the "lean time". shit looks nasty when a woman's body is highly defined yet two very overt round balls stick out atop the lady's chest muscle. not good. but, at other times of the year, they will look nice.

the silicone "gummies" suck. don't even waste brain power considering them. they're thick, dense, heavy, and very non-pliable. they're great for porn stars who what that IN YOUR FACE look, but not appropriate for everyone else. if you go for silicone, then get the standard silicone. these are relatively safe, especially as compared to the silicone implants of the 80's. overall, the feel of silicone is far softer than saline. but most doctors push the latter.

Minx, if its any help, Madine has hers over the muscle, and hers are the most natty loking implants i have ever seen (not just biased). She also lifts very heavy, maybe not PLer heavy like you, but she is strong in the gym and she has never ha any probs. Just an FYI to help you out. If there is one thing to do, its listen to the peeps who say go to a lot of doctors. Do your research....

Hey sweetie...just as an added note to my PM.....I do lift super heavy,(I've pressed 155# on flat, and can handle 60# db's, no problem) always have, and I haven't had any problems. I started lifting chest and back at about three weeks out, slowly increasing my weight as I went, and was back to normal weight within...I'd say....7 weeks, I guess? I just let my body tell me how to gauge it, if I felt too much pressure, I'd drop down. Just listen to your body, you can feel something going wrong if you start with a gentle approach.
Also, don't think that your strength will drastically drop when you are out...you'd be surprised. I trained as hard as I possible could on cardio & weights for the few weeks before surgery...then, once I had the surgery, it was just a nice recovery period for my muscles, never really missed a beat in the strength dept.

Muah baby,
Mad.

Minx - Go for it!

Hi Minx,

For what it's worth ... I have under-the-muscle saline implants that took me from a small B to a small C, a very modest jump. I was also concerned about the effect on my strength but took the leap anyhow.

I am stronger than ever now and lift chest heavier than ever. It does not hinder my pullups, pushups, or strength training in any way. There was no shifting of the implants but keep in mind if they are under the muscle they already have the tendency to push toward your armpits and they DO get squeezed by your pecs when you lift weights. It is not noticeable to anyone but you, trust me.

I had a great doctor and took it VERY easy for a month after. When you start weights after a month you must start very slow but you WILL get your strength back. I am not sure where some people - especially those without breasts - get their stories but you will not know about YOUR circumstances until you do it yourself. (By the way, I find women tend to GREATLY exaggerate the pain; it wasn't that bad, just tender and sore for a few days. I didn't even use my pain pills because it was totally manageable.)

And by the way, when I got down to 8% bodyfat for a recent show you still could not tell I had implants when I was in my two-piece. Even naked you can't tell unless I flex my chest - i would be happy to send you pics if you like.

I have had a great experience and getting implants was the best decision I ever made.

Jessica
