build up legs?

Hi!

I really love to lift weights but lately i have lost interest in doing legs, I am still doing it but not with the same energy and spirit as the rest of the body.
Anyone got ideas how to improve legs?

Instead of doing a legs, i thought about biking for 90minutes or go out running for 90 minutes. You will build muscles on your legs, at the same time you will burn fat?
Or am I wrong?
 
I think you are mistaken bro.

If you wanna get pumped for legs again, start looking at pictures of bodybuilders with impressive legs.

And then look at people with jaybird legs.

Which one do you want to be?

You are 5'11 arent you? I would just keep your leg workouts simple.. stick with the baisics: SQUATS & SLDL/DEADLIFTS
And alternate between LEG PRESS/HACK SQUATS
and polish it off with a LEG EXTENSIONS for Perfect reps.

Dont cheat yourself by not training legs.
 
Squats, squats, and squats.

Oh yeah, and squats.

Good mornings, SLDL, reverse hypers, glute ham raises and pull throughs for assistance work.
 
Running for 90 min is going to atrophy the legs not build them up.

Get a goal you wanna accomplish for legs. Like squat 405 and then work your way up to it. Or Leg press 800*10 reps.
 
If you did sprints you would work the fast twitch fibers and could get your legs bigger. Just look at an olympic sprinter's legs. But I think they also lift weights to get their legs stronger. Once your legs get really strong you will be able to sprint much faster and have a very high vertical jump.
 
QUADS:
Squats
Leg Press

HAMMIES:
Leg Curl
Stiff Leg Deadlift

I hate leg day too. It is so physically draing, but at the end of the workout, I always feel awesome. The toughest part is just getting started. Once you load up the bar with a couple 45's in the squat rack, you'll be ready to go!!!
 
yeah, I am soo wasted after a leg-day. I only do like 50minutes of workout that day. Only do 4 excercises and each ex has 4 sets. After that i am so wasted.

Maybe it will be better if I change my work-out scheduel for legs...

Shit man, I am burning to lift some weights now. Never been this motivated in my life before.
 
Lately, I have been doing quads and hamstrings on serarate workouts. By the time I am done squats and leg press, I am too damn tired to do anything else. You may want to give something like this a shot.

Leg day is easily my favorite... pushing around huge weights in the squat rack or on hip sled and then pulling a ton with bigtime deads is great...

Yup. Running or biking will make the muscles more efficient and toned, but does not do much at all for size and can actually make them look smaller if you overdo it and increases your caloric burn a lot... not wise to do much of if you are aiming to bulk.
 
I like my leg day now. I like training all my body parts now. I used to hate traings arms and legs and now i love it.
