I have been working out to the point everytime I workout I strain with max weight.

I just want to have good physique. I dont care about getting real big. Just want to have good definition.

Would 5 x 5 routine be the best routine for that. And if that is the case when working out should I focus on form?

Im a little lost. HELP

If you want to have good definition, then you're gonna have to have fairly low bf. And a good physique, that usually means having a lot of muscle also w/ fairly low bf. If you want a lot of definition then focus on a clean diet.

its all about the diet..look at those calvin klein models to me they look anarexic (spell) but there are prolly many women that think they spend hours in the gym

I want to have a swimmer body.

"I don't wanna be big......I just wanna tone."

PB, InHuman, DADAWG you may now have your way with this one.

takes years to get big unless you was born dat way. fatlatino quit worrying about getting big and lift. if you wanna be lean then watch you carbs.

this is not directed at anyone but it seems like a good time ot throw it in. the guys at my gym who say they dont wanna get big are the ones who dont wanna lift heavy and push themselves. heavy being a relative term meaning "whatever is heavy to the individual".

if this is the case then they should say "i dont wanna lift heavy. i wanna go to the gym and exercise". a little lifting, a little cardio, maybe a lap or two in the pool, a sauna and then go eat some tuna for lunch. there is nothing wrong with this if this is what they want to do. no shame here. its their perogative to lift in any manner they wish. they kinda sound like they just came off a cycle and their E is a little elevated. it tends to make men emotional.

to be honest its better to be like this, and admit it, than to claim to be a hard core lifter and folks look surprised when you tell them how hard core you are. (in other words they cant tell you lift at all)

once again this is not directed at any one person but just an ovbservation by one who observes people at the gym.

if you dont enjoy lifting heavy then dont do it. find something you enjoy and have at it. =0)
