Dumb question but im gonna js throw it out there. The 'XL Bacon Double Cheeseburger' if you buy two of them and throw one set of buns away would you consider it a decent protien source because in therory its flame grilled and that burns the fat off the burger???

beef protein is a great protein source. But, fast food burgers (especially with added bacon) contain a lot of fat - so account for that.

i dont know how something can be theoretically flamed grilled - it either is, or it isnt. Depends on what restaurant we're talking about. But no, it doesnt burn the fat off the burger. Some fat drips off and falls through the grill racks, but probably not enough to make a difference compared to other cooking methods.

i didnt mention anything about hardgainers.

but yes, people who have a hard time gaining weight can generally get away with fast food.

Some might disagree but in my opinion, absolutely NOT. It's a terrible source of protein, first reason being that fast food style burger patties are generally the cheapest, fattiest, and of the lowest quality meat available. This means that any little bit of "true protein" you are getting out of it, is also combined with HIGH levels of grease/fat, nitrates, and what ever else they use to process the crap. Actually, you would probably be better off tossing the patties and eating the buns..lol :)
Now on a lighter note, the only place I see for food like this is on a cheat day or at a cheat meal.

Nah I was thinking more for a cheat Im far from being a hard gainer. being a wrestler somtimes you dont always have a good source of protien at hand when travelling so was looking for alternatives that aint gonna mess me up. ya kno summit to see me to the next town.

you can obsess over insignificant shit like ZOMG DEDLY INGREEDIENTS!!!1 in fast food burgers, eating only organic, grass fed, blah blah blah meat - and die eventually anyway. Or you can relax a little bit and eat fast food every once in a while, and still die eventually anyway. If you factor the amount of added fat youre getting into your daily goals and adjust accordingly, its not going to make a difference.

the protein quality of mixed american diets is insignificant, especially when youre eating 1-2g protein per pound of bodyweight. the only time this matters is when youre eating very low amounts of shitty protein sources (think africa, where their only protein sources are maybe grain, and rocks).
