Burn the Fat

My wife just had a baby and she needs to lose the weight. She only has to lose about 20-30 lbs. She doesn't want to take steroids, so I need some help on what would be good for her to take. I've never had a weight problem except for gaining it, but she don't need to gain anymore.
 
Diet and exercise, women need to lift too, have her turn her lifting routine into a circuit training program--intense and hard which will make lifting a good cardio exercise too.

Stay away from simple sugars and starches--minimize them but do not go the Atkins route
 
Before thinking about supplements and such, maybe we should take a look at her diet. Do you mind posting a sample of what she eats in a typical day?
