c6 c7 fusion

Hey bro. I had c6 and c7 fused back in 1999. Since then i have fully recovered and have been able to lift heavy for years with no issues. Took a while for the nerve to regenerate, took a while to get range of motion back and my neck bothered me for 6 months or so and then i started doing deads and that eliminated the neck issues altogether.

I have been able to PL without issues and reach pr's post surgery.

I am glad I had the surgery and 12 years later I don't feel like I ever had surgery.

Wow, that's good to hear. I have the same issue as the OP, C6-7 and some atrophy in the right chest/tricep. I chose to live with it after all the horror stories I've heard about neck surgery. I might have to put some more thought into surgical options. I suppose it boils down to finding a great surgeon.

Hey Fuild,

I would say depends on your age? I waited almost 2 years and had no choice.

The biggest challenge for me is this pain in the ass neck brace. There was some pain in the start of this but for the most part its gone.

I could eat pretty much anything after 3 days.

Do some research and find the best in your area and go for it if it is coursing you that much pain. A one level fusion takes about an hour, my doctor did it in 45 mins.

Good luck in your decision
