Can I sterilize my gear in an oven?

Who can answer this question: Is it a good idea to heat vials or ampoules of a steroid in an oven before using them? This is my own idea. Heat kills bacteria and I'm aware that heating the solution is part of proper lab procedures upon the making of steroids to ensure sterility. However, not all labs follow proper procedures and there is never a way to be certain that it will be clean if it is from a UGL. As soon as I get my hands on some gear, it will be my first time buying from the source and I just want to be sure that it is clean. So, who thinks this is a good idea and who thinks I'm crazy?

I Am also interested in this. I did heat my hear at 240F for 45 minutes last time. Everything worked fine. I did put a slin pin in each vile so the air inside could expand and contract. bake it like that if you do bake it.

Personally I think it's really not needed, as long as you do everything right before pinning EX: wipe vile and injection area with alcohol swab, I've never read of any problems.

Another thing I would be concerned about is, although heating is part of of the process when making it, not all compounds have the same melting point. So if you go too hot, you stand the chance of damaging the molecular structure of the compound and making it useless. Also if you bake it too long, you stand the chance of doing the same thing. Just something to consider IMO.

The heating isn't what sterilizes the gear, it only gets it into the suspension... You need to filter the gear to make it properly sterilized with sterile syringes, wattman filters, and sterile vials.

Really? Because when i got a tren kit, the directions said to bake for sterilization. I did take it through a Watman too though. hmm....

To my understanding the heating is to dissolve the powder into a suspension, I was told the only way to sterilize properly was to filter. With a tren kit your heating to dissolve the powder into the liquid. The heating won't take out any left over binding agents.

heating anything over 180 will kill most of the bacteria. You dont HAVE to heat your gear to solve it, some guys don't, or they use double boiler.

Heating it just speeds up the process. The only way to ENSURE its sterile is to use a .22um filter. On top of this, its like condoms, they work but only if used properly. So even though you filter, it has to go back into sterile container, and you have to be sterile moving it.

^^^^ with that being said, most of the time infections do not come from the gear, its from dirty inject technique. Most of the time you wont have a problem.

Oak and 715 are correct. Heating gets it into solution. A FILTER sterilizes the gear. BA prevents bacterial growth. Proper injection techniques (sterile) are what you need to worry about. If you don't trust your source then don't buy from them. I would filter it if you are worried about it. I don't bake gear even when I make it. A little heat to get a clear solution then filter. I know guys who autoclave it but it's not needed.

Can u use the Autoclave with hormone inside the Vial uncapped ? would that sterilize the hormone from any Bacteria Viruses ?
