Chipping is just one indication but not the major one, handling and storage mathods could cause chipping.

Notice the color difference, placement of the line on the back of the tab and the lack of ridge definition. Looks like a tacky job to me!

The real tabs are harder and have a beveled edge. The right one is your fake.
