at the same time? Once and for all, I want to know.

Can anyone here do it?

I Believed in it for a while, but not anymore.

Thanks.

Strength is a function of the nervous system, so yeah, of course you can gain strength while doing cardio.

Yes. I have done it.

HIIT is a good alternative too, as it actually adds to strength.

Yes, I believe it can be done, but strength gains will be minimal.

Well, depends on a lot of factors, such as intensity and volume of cardio, intensity and volume of lifting, training age, etc. Someone at the elite strength level might not be able to gain strength while doing cardio while a beginner could make huge strength gains while doing lots of cardio.

kinda hard to run on the tread mill and squat at the same time goldee.

When I am bulking I eliminate the cardio element from my workouts, I get enough of a lung workout doing squats.

When do you not bulk, and for how long, and how often?

Good question. I'm trying to transition into a cut from a very long (read, 1yr+) bulk, and it's one of the hardest things I've done. I'm too used to eating whatever I want.......

Cardio and Bulking is like a Shampoo and Conditioner in one. You end up with fairly clean har that is fairly conditioned...but neither one is very well done.

Is HIIT cardio the most effective in preventing muscle loss ?

With HIIT cardio most of the calories being burned come from muscle glycogen, HIIT will speed up the metabolic rate, & u produce more GH when u do HIIT, but HIIT can be counterproductive if u over do it, that's why is best to keep it to 2/3 sessions a week.

The lower the intensity, the greater the percentage of energy derived from fat....the problem with low intensity (long cardio sessions) is that it will get ur body into a catabolic state and it will start to break down muscle tissue for energy, so it's better to do a higher "shorter" session.

U can do HIIT twice a week & add some lower intensity sessions as well throughout the week.

I guess is best to do HIIT on days when u don't train big muscles, right ?
