Can you interpret these lab results for me?

Well... I FIANLLY bit the bullet and went to one of those Testosterone clinics.
My decision was based on my low quality erections. However the possible gains in the gym is almost equally as important to me.

This is my first ever round of any ananabolic.
Late bloomer I guess...
I'm 42 years old..6'4...255 lbs.
Working out on and off since 24.
Got back into in seriously about 2 years ago {4-5 times a week} where I lost about 40 lbs of fat with diet and weights--Z E R O cardio.
I do hold fat around my midsection and chest area.

Blood test show me at:

Testosterone, Serum---264 ng/dl
Estradoil---21.0 pg/ml
Prostate -Specific Ag--0.5
Hemoglobin---14.6 g/dl

Doctor said my Testosterone was low and put me on 150mg per week for 4 weeks then retest the blood.
Because of a scheduling problem I have this week, I will be taking an ADDITIONAL 150mg in 3 days.
After that, I will be only getting one 150mg per week.

How bad is 264? I know it's low...but I'm not doomed am I?
I know most answers can be found in the and previous posts, but with my specific situation, is there any advice or insight you may have?
Any thoughts on my bloodwork and dosage?
I am sooooo happy I made this move. Judging by what I've read over the years, this has the potential to help me out a bunch.
Your thoughts?

264 is on the lower end of the range. What time of day was it tested?

You're almost definitely going to need an aromatose inhibitor with where your estrogen level is currently sitting in comparison to your low T.

my total test was 235 ng/dl. i felt like shit. lost muscle, depressed, cold numb penis... i now take 200mg test a week along with anastrozol and hcg. total test is over 1000, depression is gone, strength way way way up, and waking up in the middle of the night and morning with a boner is pretty damn reassuring things are good.

im 30 by the way.

You should start feeling better in 2-4 weeks. Could be up to six. By week 6 your levels should be stabilized at wherever 150mg per week is going to get you. Check your blood then and see if you need to make any adjustments. In the beginning you have to go through some trial and error to find the right Test and Aromatase inhibitor (AI) doses. Get bloodwork to see how you are responding until you get things dialed in. Good luck!

The blood test was done at 5pm....after working 8 hours on my job.

The doctor was probably a bit overzealous. You can hypothesize (since you don't have actual blood work from the morning) that your peak T levels are much higher than 264 because your natural levels are the greatest in the morning. Your true T count is probably closer to somewhere between 400-500, if it were tested in the morning and not at 5pm after a long day (of probably sleep deprived) work.

I have always heard the difference between morning and evening test values is less dramatic. More like 50 points. That's anecdotal information though.

How long til you saw those results?
Thanks by the way.
Also...did you notice any fat loss?

well, i was on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) before from november 2011-july 2012. I was with a different clinic at the time and had a lapse in coverage and lost all of my gains/fat loss and ended up in a shittier position. when i initially started i gained quite a bit of weight then eventually lost 25lbs as i trained harder and ate smarter.

i started back on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) in april of this year and have been on 200mg a week since then. at the moment i am very heavy. i think i have gained close to 12 or 14 pounds BUT i am strong as hell. i have been enjoying the strength so much that i think i have been eating a bit too many carbs. i am cardio phobic! i dropped my initial 25 pounds by squatting and dead lifting.

i just now started to feel that primal want to lift and rage all day feeling. the boners and mood came from just 4 weeks on. i think that by the time I'm on month 4 again i will finally be in my groove. taking many months off the gym took its toll. just a month ago i would find reasons to not go that 3rd or 4th time a week. recovery is amazing. i can blast body parts 2 times a week on a 4 day split and recover amazingly well on 6-7 hours of sleep.

It's roughly a 30% difference, but that's at 8pm which is supposed to be our diurnal trough. Even if you tack on 30% to his levels, that puts him at 377ng/dL which is barely out of "low T" territory. Given the symptoms though, I think his doc did the right thing.

OP: Yes, you will feel like a new man in the near future. Please be sure to have your doc check your estradiol levels continuously. As totalburnout noted you already have an estrogen dominant profile, so you might be one of the "lucky" ones like me and require an aromatase inhibitor to keep that under control.

Good luck and welcome to 'ology! :)
