Can you use steroids as a shortcut to your Genetic Potential

Could u take steroids to get you to your GP then get off and stay at your GP naturally? I've read books worth of forums and studies and it's a controversy of whether you loose all your gains over a period of time or you keep most of your gains with strict diet and training.

I just want to hit my GP and do maintenance. This might sound pathetic but I'm sick of how long it takes for gains when your natural.

I feel like you answered your own question.

If you want to take shortcuts, go for it - no one can stop you.

I hope for your own sake you don't hurt yourself in the process.

Keep in mind, quality muscle takes time to build. Hell, quality anything takes time. Wine, relationships, car restoration. Shortcuts usually don't pay off in the long run.

I don't get it, it won't be quality gains?

Gains are gains whether you get them through steroids or without. The problem is you don't have the fundamentals in place to maintain your genetic potential once reached. From the sound of it you are young which means you don't know the ins and outs of dieting/nutrition and/or training. Steroids will give you a boost sure but you will harm yourself in the process (if you're as young as I think) and what you gain from steroids can't be maintained unless you train and eat accordingly (assuming you stay within your potential). Think of it like you jumped on the highway but went an exit or two too far. You didn't map out your route ahead of time or learn the intricacies of the road you were on.

It's like running nitrous on a motor. Gives it a boost but not good to run it all the time and can't maintain that kinda HP without it. Unless u build up your motor son...

what are your stats? i can tell you i gained 50 solid lbs in the last 2.5 years all natty so far. Trust me in the end its worth it to wait. every 5 lbs i gained felt like i won the lottery. AND this was on a shxt diet for 2 of the years eating anything and everything i wanted. i just recently started incorporating an actually good diet and its helped with the slow gains that happen after that initial weight gain from. ive had several plateus that just made me train harder.

Then i hear about people in my gym who are STILL smaller than me genetically (keeping in mind height/weight ratio) already doing cycles? Sure i give them props on that easy 10 lbs they just gained. but once somebody like me who was already 20 lbs ahead of em naturally decides to start after they have a solid base its GAME OVER for them ;)
