Canadian blood test options?

I just go to Lab Services here in Alberta. I don't think you even need a referal, just bring your SK Health Card and its free.

Is there any online source for blood testing for Canadians? No Labcorp here. Canadians what do u do?

I always have to see my Doc, tell them what I need and go from there.

I'm in AB, what lab services are you referring to, I couldn't find one that would let me go with a docs request.

Depends on your province as the health care laws vary slightly. Furthermore, you have to consider that the government pays for health care in Canada, so it would be highly unethical for a family doctor to just hand out requisitions for bloodwork for hormone levels (which are significantly more expensive than basic tests like cholesterol, HDL, LDL, etc), just because a patient is "curious" (not like you are gonna tell them your cycling).

Thanks, In the North. Never knew they were there.

Cheers

I certainly have no issues paying, also with regards to family doctors, I have asked them directly in the past and told them why. They lectured a bit, but in the end they did it as they get paid for it. LMAO They never had an issue. I believe THEIR ethics is highly OVER-RATED.:destroy:

Cheers

any other places in canada it can be done without seeing a doctor? id like to get on cycle bloods without questions asked about why my levels are out of whack

It's says on their website that it's $50 dollars to have you Testosterone levels checked. Other hormones may be free. I believe these are some of the main one's to have evaluated:

Estradiol
Progesterone
Testosterone
DHEA
Cortisol

It would be great to have them checked in order to have a reference later in life, or to simply know what the are at your current age.

Agreed, had a few doctors tell me no. They do a requisition what they think is required,
not help aid you doing something you shouldn't be doing. Blood test cost $$
