I wanted to pass along a great website that I found for getting discounted blood tests.
The website is directlabs.com and because I currently do not have insurance and wanted to have some blood work done, I did a little research and found out that directlabs is a prepaid service that acts as the ordering physician and provides the req/order for you. So basically you do not have to go to a doctor to have these tests ordered. You can do it yourself.
Once I placed my order I was able to print my req and take it to a labcorp to have the blood drawn. I received my results the next day! Also, I only paid $97 for the Comprehensive Wellness Profile. This test tests for cbc's, liver, kidney, thyroid, lipids, glucose, - I saved a tremendous amount of money b/c this test is regularly over $500.
