Ckd

Check out THIS Thread.. IT is a good article written by a guy that swears by the diet. Pics of him show he is very serious about it and it shows.. Hope this helps, it did me!

"Clinical Ketosis Diet" to be precise. Where you carb-deplete(10-30grams) from Sunday to Friday, then carb-load for 36 hours.

Purpose being, is that if your body doesn't have a its' primary source of fuel to burn(carbs), because you are severely limiting the amount you intake, that it will have to revert to another source for a fuel supply. Ergo, fat.

Anyhow, it is tougher than it sounds. You can eat more, but there is a very limited variety of what you can eat. Most foods that Americans eat are chalk full of carbs.

To be honest....I start to trim down by say Thursday. By Friday night I feel lean as hell. I only carb-up on Saturday, and after that I pork out like a pig. I weighed #196 last Friday. Monday I was #201. Carbs don't like me. I think(for me) that I'd be better off just carbing up like two Saturdays out of the month. Or maybe not at all for that matter.

Other than that, the diet really does work. Fuck, I wouldn't even call it much of a diet, since I eat like a horse, and am still losing weight. I also drink Coffee, have a Beam & Coke now & then, and partake in the sinfullness of diet colas too bro. None of that shit effects my Ketosis state. It's just the carb-up days that fuck me up.

Not that it matters - but I thought it meant "Cyclical" Ketogenic Diet - because you are cycling the carbs?!

In any event, I enjoy the carb-up periods because I can blast through the next few days of workouts with intense energy!

Cyclic Ketogenic Diet is the way that Daniel Duchene refers to it in Bodyopus, which I must say is a great read for someone who is gonna try a CKD diet, Cyclic refering to the cycling of carb-ups and zero carb days.
