creatine cycling

hey everyone,
i was planning to start my first creatine cycle this weekend.
for the loading phase i was going to take 5 grams 4 times per day then following with a maintence phase of 5 grams once per day

if i were to take 5 grams in the morning, after breakfast, after lunch, and after dinner and then were to consume some alcohol later that night would this have a bad effect on me? should alcohol not be consumed throughout the loading phase?

overall, if i were to drink a few beers while taking creatine, can it backfire on me? will i get sick?

any opinions are welcome
 
I'm not a expert on the subject or anything. But I would assume alcohol wouldn't hurt loading on creatine. I've actualy heard that 'to some' loading isn't advised, just cause it doesn't benefit you that much. I didn't just because of money issues.

Sorry I kinda got distracted there. But in my opinion if you drink a bit, it won't hurt anything.
 
You wont literally get sick from drinking while supplementing creatine but there are many issues that come along with taking creatine. Alcohol is a diuretic, while supplementing creatine it is extremely important to stay completely hydrated. Dehydration on creatine is actually a fairly large risk and this can happen while consuming alcohol.
Also, loading really doesnt make that huge of a difference while supplementing creatine. I mean, if you got the cash, tear it up
 
i've never felt any sides from drinking on creatine... but you must stay hydrated... i can't hit the water fountain enough when i'm lifting on creatine. i don't advise drinking with creatine, binge drinking anyway... but it's your body, and you know yourself better than anyone... just stay hydrated and get take your b-complex and antioxidants before you pass out!!!!!
 
Why cycle Creatine? the only reason for cykling it is that you get that "boost" again, but u will always have it if u never stop, but you forget it kinda. I load the exakt same way u r gonna do, but then i take 5g/morning and 5g/post workout, and its working its magic!

and i say fuck alkohol !!! aint good for you so dont do it!
 
-do not drink alcohol whlie supplementing with creatine. as was posted alcohol is a diuretic and creatine works on the completely opposite spectrum so u will be pissing away ur creatine and ur cash!!!
-no need to load, muscle saturation will occur anyway it just takes longer, 3-5grams per day should be fine. on wo days post wo and on non wo days in the morning!!!
