If your carbs are 270g (at 4/cals/gram for carbs), thats 1080 calories, protein calories ( also 4/cal/gram) are 1020, and fat calories (9/cals/gram) are 558, equaling 2658 total calories. So your math is pretty good!!

if your tryin to cut up, decrease carbs by about 100+ grams, fat +/- 10 grams, up protein at least 75 grams, and calories by about 1000.

Try getting the small tub of n large (3.8 lbs) and add 1/2 serving-3/4 serving each morning, and drink a low carb protein shake for the rest of your shake needs...

if your going to eat pb sandwiches, try a natural peanut butter and whole wheat bread...

hahaha ,,, thanks bro ! ,,, the pb sammich was a spur of the moment thing ,, i'm not a machine ,, ;) .

thats some good info right there..... thanks for the post. i'll get some pics on here within 4 weeks hopefully to show my progress.. thanks again hammer !

hammer, I think he said he wanted to gain weight and lose bodyfat, so that would be a bulk, then a cut. I would suggest you up your calories which would probably take more meals like parker said, After you are done bulking then shed some weight like hammer suggested, You have the right mindset as your timeframe to reach your goal. It is deffinently possible to reach this in that ammount of time, all that is left is for you to do it. good luck

i read somewhere on this site (one of the threads) that for someone that is about 13% like myself,, it would actually be better to cut down before trying to bulk up? what are your thoughts on that 1bdmfkr? or anyone else who wants to feild that question.... thanks.

oh and to re-calc on my intake for last night,,, i miss calculated on the protien shakes ,, forgetting that i put 2 scoops per shake instead of the recomended one. the new numbers are as follows.

cals: 2733
fat: 64
carbs: 273
prot: 278

that was end of the day yesterday.

It is better to cut down and then bulk--you will be able to stay leaner if you start out leaner.

how would i have to change my diet to make it a cutting cycle. and thanks thats what i was thinking as well.

really depends on each individual, I stay lean whether I bulk or cut, so I prefer to bulk and then lean up a bit, when i say bulk I don't mean eat like shit and put on water and fat, I mean eat clean but up your calories, usually up carbs the most. Then cut back a little when you have reached ideal weight. On my last bulk, I feel like I kept the same bodyfat percentage while adding mass. Do what works best for you lilboy, if you don't know what works best, its time to find out, play around with things and see how your body reacts.
