Cutting 50 mg Clomid tab?

Is it ok to cut 50 mg clomid tabs in half, in order to take 25 mg ED as a LH/FSH booster?
It doesn't ruin the tablets release mechanism, does it?
I ask, cause I remember my doc told me once not to cut a wellbutrin tab in half due to the mechanism release being effected.
I'm Not shut down or severely suppressed, I just want to see what it does for a month or so.

AFAIK, Clomid is just a tablet, no coating or time release agent or anything like that.

That's only if the medication is extended release. Like Rumpernickle said, clomid isn't time released or extended release.
