Cutting Diet Help!!!!

now oats are considered a miracle food from my parts.. and im a big fan of it...

i find it hard to believe that oats are that acidic! not calling u a liar.. do u have source to back this up??

red potatoes are g2g... basmati rice is not...

remember the philosophy here is controling insulin levels... so we dont put what ur saying into perspective

cutting diets only last 10-12 weeks... and then things change...

but i would like ur insight on something else..

do u see the link to my free diet advice thread on the bottom of this message?

go to it.. read post 1 and find my bulking diet.. and let me know what u think..

im very interested..

GI is a useless tool for athletes as it is easily modified through fats, fiber, and protein. Besides, the GI between Basmati rices and brown rice is 8 (58 and 50, respectively).

The formula for PRAL is:
0.49 Protein + 0.037 Phosphorus- 0.021 Potassium - 0.026 Magnesium - 0.013 Calcium. Here's a list of the PRAL of many common foods:
John Berardi - Covering Nutritional Bases
Oats are 10.7 and brown rice is 12.5 per 100g.

As far as your post is concerned, it is pretty solid except you forgot to include the thermic effect of feeding into the TDEE. TEF is .1xTDEI.

i agree with this.. though we have to put into consideration diet failure through psychological means.. more people cant stand eating that much produce..

even pro bbers dont eat that much produce..

do you believe that your approach might work better for bodybuilding??

also.. how are u accredited? are u a nutritionist?? where did u learn all this from?

any references?

To be honest, the BBing philosophy of eating is asinine. They go to extremes instead of taking everything slowly and patiently. Eating 5 servings of produce is very, very east to do: 1 serving of fruit with breakfast, 2 servings at 2 other meals.

I believe my approach is better because it puts health first instead of aesthetics. People get far too caught up in their BF% or their arm size instead of thinking about longevity. I've learned most of my nutrition knowledge in school and through Dr John Berardi and Dr John Ivy.

My actual degree is a M.Ed. in Exercise Physiology along with a NSCA-CSCS and NSCA-CPT. In addition to this, I have also competed professionally in MMA 7 times.

Nutrition has been a huge passion of mine for almost a decade and I've made sure to always keep learning and expanding my knowledge.

Just as an FYI, I primarily eat according to the Paleo philosophy, but it is difficult to really get in the carbs to train MMA with a straight Paleo diet. To counter this, I use red potatoes as my primary source of carbs (~18oz per day).

i hear ya on the money part. I was also wondering if that was to much tuna as well. what times are you eating all those meals. especially if your a college student.

Im usually eating by 830 or 9 then 11, 2, 4, 630, 9, 1130... premake a lot of the stuff so i can work it around class and all the other busy stuff.
