I suspect that's way too low. Your gonna end up losing muscle with a deficit that low. Im interested in hearing 3j's comments.

yeah, holy cow that's low. you don't want your body to canabalize all that hard earned muscle. honestly, i think a calorie intake of about 2200-2400 would work. cycle the carbs, do the cardio, preserve the muscle. i would cry i think if i started losing my muscles....as much time as i have put into the gym! holy goodness that would suck. epically. i wanna hear 3j too.

are you on cycle or off?, and yes you wld definatly lose weight alright, but like abv I agree, some of that wld be muscle. When bulking I exceed caloriec intake, but when cutting I try to maintain/match what my body needs and uses to keep muscle, but I do change my diet to up the protein and lower carbs. I usually leave the carbs in my diet early in the day because u need for energy to workout. but my evening meals I lower carbs and I also use ECA stack and I can usually lower body fat significantly with in 3-4 weeks.

I am likely going to increase calories a little, try to be like Kimmysue said.

RockG, i am off cycle, and i have yet to do a cycle, as i am looking for a trusted source, but as soon as i get my stuff in order, i def. plan to increase everything.

I would also like to hear what 3J has to say... i can maintain this macro number (i'm upping my protein shakes so i'm about 180 g a day)

thanks for the input... it's kinda weird i have very little fat, if any in my arms and legs...all midsection.
thanks for all the help guys

It's hard to grasp the notion of eating more while cutting but in a lot of cases its more of an issue of redistributing weight than losing it. dont get me wrong there is weight to lose and you will lose it but the harder you workout, the more you need to eat to maintain your LBM. Dont lose what you've been working so hard for. Eat right, increase cardio and keep working hard. You'll get cut-up.

There are dozens of sample diets posted in this forum. Read thru them and apply them to yourself. Im guessing you want to be eating 2400cal, 50g fat, 180g carbs and 280g protien or in that neighborhood somewhere. 3J will fix you up.

BTW: Shakes are good pwo but eat real food to get most of the numbers for your macros.

thanks a lot, i'll aim for that for the next couple of weeks and see how things go. I don't really want to be cut, just lose some jiggle. I rather be big than cut, that's my long term goal.

thanks

man i cut on liek 2500-3000 cals. i dotn knwo how you could even do 1500.
deff bumpp it to around 2500, also I find cycleing carbs helps
by that I mean a diet high in protien, med in fats and then carbs cycles liek this for eg.:
monday Low- 50-60g carb
tues low- 50-60g carb
wed Med- 100g carb
thurs Med- 100g carb
fri- high/med- 150gcarb
sat and sunday high- 250-300g carbs and repeat.

keeping ofcourse calroied not too low not to high.
it kinda tricks body and helps out.
also maybe look at LipoFlame from N2BM (link is in my sig)
could help you out to.
but diet is #1 in this cardio is #2
its easyer to adjust diet then to runn for 6 hrs to burn off 1000 crappy calories (not all are crappy)

thanks for the info.

i will work on a diet following those guidelines.

what macros would you recommend? not too high and not too low doesn't really help me, i'm fairly new to the proper diet thing.

thanks
