Deads and Squats same day?

Due to last minute circumstances I was not able to get in my deads on back day. I don't want to miss them this week and was wondering if there is any problem with doing them on leg day along with squats. I'm thinking not but wanted to pose the question here. Also, I have tweaked a previously reconstructed shoulder (fixed last Feb) and cannot comfortably squat with that hand on the bar. I don't want to skip them so I am doing them on the SM dangling that arm. Any issues here? Thanks in advance

I dont see anything wrong with doin DLs on leg days since they do work your hammies. I do thm on leg days.

i deadlift and squat on the same day every week and so do most of my training partners. and im in the same situation as you with squats and shoulder problems (had surgery june 29), only advice i got is front squats, SM squats, safety bar, and the device mentioned by shockandawe.

No prob with doing them all in one day. Its actually good to mix it up a little bit every once in a while (trick your muscles).

i think it really depends on your split. I remember reading something from madcow about squatting and doing deads on the same day. If you work one body part per day then no you shouldn't mix them if you work upper/lower split then not as bad......

I don't think I could do deads and squats on the same day. Or at least not to my full potential.

I am on a 4 day split;

M -Chest, shoulder,abs
T- Back,lats, traps, deads, calves
W- spin
T- Bi, tri, forearms, abs
F- Squats, legs, calves
S- spin
S- off

I ended up doing them both and it wasn't as bad as I anticipated. Still would rather split them...
