Last week I had my E2 tested, primarily because I was feeling very lethargic and borderline depressive and suspected my E2 was low.
In a recent follow up with Chip, my Aromatase inhibitor (AI) was dialed back to 1 mg Adex E5D. However, I found myself bothered by the fact that my total estrogens were on the high side, so I took an additional dose of Adex. Within 24 hours I felt like I was hit by a freight train and all I wanted to do was rest.
My first E2 test came back at 13.4 pg/mL after taking 1 mg of Adex twice in 48 hours.
Yesterday I went back for another round of E2 testing and had not taken any Adex for 6days, my last does being 1 mg on Tuesday of last week. I went in to get tested primarily because I felt my mood was elevated and I felt good, like you would hope to feel on Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT).
My E2 level came back at 45.7 pg/mL.
I did learn a couple things through this. I obvioulsy do better on the upper end of the E2 Scale, although I am going to try and slowly bring my level down to see how low I can go before I feel like shit again.
The other thing is to listen to Chip. The end result of all this is I am back on the exact dose and frequency Chip suggested to begin with. I guess I got too hung up on numbers and not how I was actually feeling.
If I continue to feel good, I will probably get a follow up E2 test within 2-3 weeks to see how 1 mg E5D effects my level.
