diet and blood work go hand in hand I suppose

So I donated blood last week. Got the results back today. Compared to last year here are the results:

ALT (GPT) 55 (23 last year, but on this day I just finished training I'm guess that's why) ref. range 8-49
y-GTP 38 (44 last year) ref. range 9-68
TP 6.8 (7.5 last year) ref. range 6.6-8.2
ALB 4.4 (4.7 last year) ref. range 4.0-5.1
A/G 1.8 (1.7 last year) ref. range 1.3-2.1
Cholesterol 130 (162 last year) ref. range 140-259
GA 11.9 (14.8 last year) ref. range 16.5% or lower

RBC 521 (566 last year) ref. range 418-560
Hb 15.7 (17.8 last year) ref. range 12.7-17
Ht 45.9 (50.4 last year) ref. range 38.8-50
MCV 88.1 (89 last year) ref. range 83-99.5
MCH 30.1 (31.4 last year) ref. range 26.8-33.5
MCHC 34.2 (35.3 last year) ref. range 31.7-35.2
WBC 82 (94 last year) ref. range 38-89
PLT 22.6 (23.5 last year) ref. range 17-36.5

I was happy to see my hematocrit was doing much much better than last year. I was donating because I thought it was still high. RBC also dropped. My cholesterol is low, not sure if that's an issue or not. I think I owe a lot of this to 3J.

This is a lab a week after a blood donation?
Looks average to me...
Doesn't look like that blood donation lowered stuff to low.
In 2 months from now.....looks like u will be in for a difference

your fasting glucose and lipids will always improve (if not within normal range) on my nutrition plans.. ive seen it over and over again.. ive helped dozens of clients go off heart disease and diabetes medication..

you are what you eat..

im happy to see such progress syn! great work!

This is blood work from the donation center. They take the blood and provide the information after. 1 year earlier my Ht was peaking over the edge. Now it's not. RBC was as well. Now it's not. Hb was as well. Now it's not. I think that's pretty good. Diet and training is all that changed. I could've gone without donating and my Ht would have been fine. I'll get regular blood work done next time I go in for my meds.

It comes in the mail a few days later with a record of past donations and a reminder of when you can donate next.

Where is this? Free blood test with donation AND they give you the results? I've been doing it wrong with the Red Cross all these years.
