Dips - Need Help

Your as slow as a snail. lol....... You will see them in better shape in 3 months in the members pictures forum, and I will keep them up for a few months.

I will get alot bigger in the next few months, but im figuring out my body right now, like how to get lean and gain muscle at the same time, because bulking up and gaining some fat without cardio is actually unhealthy.

It is possible, its just a bit harder to do.....
i can asure that gaining muscle and loosing BF is no prob.
 
I have a question about my dips. I love doing them but they hurt my right shoulder for some reason. I think my form is correct but they have always hurt. My dips really suck on weight though, i think my shoudler has something to do with it. it Doesnt hurt or even give a scent of problems on any other workout, just dips.

Depends on where exactly it's hurting in your shoulder - there could be a variety of problems ranging from nothing more than weak musculature to a tear. It just depends.
 
i can only do like 2 dips :( :( my dippage is way weak... i definatly need to work on that... but i do weigh 290 so theres my first excuse! OO! and i hit and all time high on bench this morning :D (for me anyways) im at 405 now :) yay! i dont know what it is tho, i just have the biggest problem with dips... =/ *sigh*
 
another thing could be... a seperated shoulder.. its a lot more common, (from what ive seen) than youd think. a buddy of mine had the exact same problem.. it was hurting him on bench as well too... he had to get a cortizone shot :( owwie
 
I have a hard time doing heavy bench due to tendonitus, but I can do heavy weighted dips without much trouble. I really like dips because for me they really are a great all around chest developer.
 
i feel dips more in my shoulders and tris than chest really at all :( ...

golden .. post that pic again lol it will be better because we can have a before and after shot 3 months from now
 
dips/flat bench are king for chest/tri development. i cant do dips cause of shoulder probs. they are great if you can do them. ever see a guy with 159lbs hanging off of him doing dips with small tris. it aint gonna happen.

can you help me with the proper form of a dip? Some tips on where the legs should be positioned etc?
 
Anybody know where I can get a video of someone doing dips. Im interested in proper form.
 
i usaly

do 4 sets of dips first in my chest workout

15,12,10,8(i dont add weight i get weaker with each set)

when would you start adding weight though ?

You should start adding weight from the start. I currretnly use 25 pounds though all sets.
