My friends wach YouTube all the time and talk about 1000+ hp, I tell them all the time 500 real hp will scare the shit out of you. They don't understand because they've never been in a car with real power

Even 300+ hp is enough to scare the crap out of an everyday driver if you use it correctly.

The way I look at it is that it's always easier to get de-tune than it is to soup it up.
It's running high compression and a custom ground cam designed to put down 650/650.
If I wanted to, I could easily tame that thing back to 400hp.
Over-engineer for a worst case scenario, then adjust as necessary.
Traction will be my biggest issue, especially if I wind up dropping in that T-56 Magnum 6-speed I've been eyeballing.

I have a TH400 that came with the car that I COULD use to get er' up and running.
My DREAM trans is the T-56 Magnum 6-speed with carbon fiber synchros.
The price tag on that one is a little tough to swallow.
$8,000 for just the hard parts, the clutch set is another $1000-1500 by itself.

Ouch!!! A freind of mine is running a art carr 200r4 behind 800+ hp they say the trans can take 1500 and still has overdrive. Look into it I've driven that car it's retarded, trans works great

It's the whole automatic thing, I get no pleasure out of driving an auto.
(full manual valve body doesn't count imo)
Part of the reason I want the T-56 is due to the overdrive gear, .62 final drive would bring the mileage up to the mid-teens. That would be perfect for cruising the highway.

I love standard trans don't get me wrong, but a correctly built auto is fun also. Final gear in the 200r4 is .67
