Out of curiosity, how can they tell that from blood work? Like what has to be "off" for them to draw that conclusion?

Something to do with the HPTA. LH + FSH levels combined with my hypogonadal condition just don't make sense to them.
I even stumped Half when I posted it.

I wouldn't worry though Avido. Not all tumors are dangerous/threatening or even malignant for that matter. I'd bet that tumor is on the control side of the pituitary gland, which would explain A LOT. It definitely seems like your pituitary gland has gone Rambo, and doesn't give a shit what the feedback loop says, it's making leutinizing hormone and doesn't give a shit lol.

Hopefully if they can excise the tumor (if they find one), that will fix you right up. :)

Avido I talked to my wife whos a cytotechnologist (don't know why she's with me) and I told her about your levels. She said it makes sense that there might be something wrong with your pituitary gland and she said a hormone imbalance could have caused it. She also said a lot of other big words and stuff but she lost me (she's way smarter than me). With all that said I hope she's wrong!!!! I sorry your going through this, I always tell people don't stress about things until you know for sure. If you need more info from the wife I can ask her for you. Good luck brother

The docs really don't know for sure what the deal is since they don't have much experience with people like me. I just got the bloods done so we'll see what happens next. Damnit, if it is my pituitary why didn't I get any of the cool sides like being a giant!?

I'm not 100% convinced it's a brain issue but there is always the possibility.
I would think if it were something wrong with the pituitary there would be more noticeable effects, height going out of control, headaches or something like that.

The strange thing is, what I'm going through now is exactly what my first post was about if you guys remember. How the HPTA maintains homeostasis when 1/3rd of it is missing. Maybe I'm finding out the hard way...


With my luck, they won't find a damned thing and the mystery will continue.
I'm not sure what's worse, finding something or not finding anything at all.
