I've noticed that if I do squats after leg presses, I feel it hits my quads even more, I feel more of my glutes working if I do squats first. ..the focus is quad development/hams also..(glutes always gets worked in)

Although I can't squat as much after legpresses, does this
"pre exhausting" effect have any benefit for better quad develoopment?

All you're doing is just working the quads more, and that can get you better quad development.

Why not do front squats instead of leg presses?

Not that I think Leg Presses are not effective, I just think that Squats, Front Squats -- or hell, any squats are more effective than leg presses.

If I were using it as a supplemental exercise sure, but I would do the Squats first.

Have you thought about changing your squat routine (if you already haven't?) -- Doing Box Squats? 20 Reps? Stance Variation? As Frosty suggested Front? Zercher?

Just some suggestions.
