Healing hasn't been an issue for me, I can't see or feel puncture site the next day.

You have the option to donate multiple pints? In that case you have no problem. Why did you write you were going to have issues with rising hct?

Oh. RBC apheresis is similar in that some blood constituents (everything minus the RBCs) is returned.
Unfortunately, where I live the donation interval is twice as long as a whole blood donation (16 weeks), so it doesn't really gain anything.
