Drinking to much water while you workout?

Ok let's not make this more complicated then it needs to be.

A classic sign of drinking too much water during workouts are breaks to pee - if your going to the toilet 2/3x while working out then your overdoing it.

If your thirsty then drink, if not then don't.
No one can give you a set maximum for water consumption since its based on way too many factors.
And no - you can't suddenly hold water if you drank too much, your body will simply get rid of the excess.

Lovely advice, nice!

During or after workout it is good to drink more water because water helps us to burn fat and calories and also provides energy. I always take my bottle of water in my bag before going to the workout or gym.

I always drink water after the gym, as I know it is better to drink after, but I agree with Mrrippedzilla, that if your body requires water, you need to drink it.:wavey::beer:

So the thread goes on? This ^^^ is right on and it isn't any more complicated. I drink 50 plus oz's during my workout every time and maybe pee once, sometimes none. Out side the gym I pee al; the time.

If you are thirsty drink.

If you are thirsty drink.

and sometimes you need to drink when youre not thirsty. If I use thirst as an indicator to drink I end up a little dehydrated. I start seeing my creatine numbers creep up on bloods too.

I have to make a conscious effort to drink a gallon a day.

I agree with what you just said because I have had no thirst before but knew that what I was doing at the time would cause a lose of water and before I would know or get an indication I might be in trouble. BUT that is , so, because I am educated and experienced in dehydration.

Getting ill, sick with a flue / cold will do it and I / we have to be aware that sometimes when sick we don't feel like drinking anything but we need to force liquids. When Mike is at the gym I need, want water and more water so I drink water. If I have night sweats I drink water intentionally even if I don't feel like it.

I walk around the gym with a 5 gallon jug strictly reverse osmosis filtered water for me

Be careful bros , ro water filters out everything. You actually want some of the minerals water contains.
I have an ro filter as well. But the post filters adds minerals back in like calcium and magnesium

I see nothing wrong with carrying a gallon of water around. promotes water consumption, carry an extra cup with you and you can offer it to the ladies huffing and puffing away.
