Dumbbell or barbell Bench???

No its a on a military base. Its actually one of the smaller ones. I go to it because its the least packed. Im sure the main gym has more.
 
I prefer a barbell. Just like the feel of them and I get more out of it, I think. I use dumbells occasionally. Sucks, my gym only has dumbells up to 125. I can use them for incline, but they're too light for flat, unless I were to do it at the end of the workout.
 
I would have to say bench, my gym dumbells only go to 160. I did those for 6 and i figured if I get them for 15 one day I would be screwed. Inless my cheap-ass gym owner ordered more dumbells, but HIGHLY doubt he will ever.
 
i get the best growth out of dumbells but i do both. i wont go much higher than 315 on inclines or flat because there is too much strain on my shoulder girdle. bad left shoulder from being stupid in my younger days.
 
i dont exactly agree with this. i used to though. if you know how to get good mind muscle connection your can build a ton with out having to go super heavy all the time. just my 2 cents.


I agree with you bro, "more weight=more size" that's not all that really true. I mean it is, but its not. I noticed with dumbells you have a better range of motion and, yes you can get great contractions with your chest even on 40lb DB's rathen then reppin out 225 for 12
 
I do both but more barbell cuz the gym im at now is real small and don't have much for dumbbells so I bought some bands and use them with dumbbells but even w/the biggest bands the dumbbells aren't very heavy. Im planning on doing more dumbbell work even if it means buying some heavy ones myself. Im gonna try and start getting cut in about 2months im still bulking right now
