Eating before getting blood test???

I've been feeling very brain foggy and lazy recently so I figured i would get my Estro tested tomorow morning to see if my Estrogen is too high or too low. I have ordered the blood test and everything is set but i have 2 questions.....

1. Do I have to get the blood test done first thing in the morning or can I go when ever during the day??

2. Is it ok to eat and then get the blood test done or do I have to get it done in an empty stomach.

I got the female hormone panel at privatemdlabs which will test my estrogen, testosterone, and LH but I am only concerned with the Estrogen not the other two.

I always fast 12 hrs. Not sure if it's needed

I know they say to fast and go early in the morning for a higher test reading and proper hemoglobin test but I am just concerned with the estrogen reading and am wondering if they will mess up if I just go later in the day after working out and having a good breakfast

I wasn't given any instructions at any of my labs. Dumb asses.

You must go in before 10 am, and don't eat 12 hours before. Coffee is a NO NO. If you don't follow this you might just as well guess at your numbers and use those instead. Mine got skewed all to hell. Retesting sucks worse.

I actually asked Chip this question. He answered that you DONT have to fast.

I ended up fasting. But I try to start my day at 5:30am and I was wanting to get my workout in and breakfast before I went there since Labcorp here opens at 7:30

Packgus thx for that answer. I know not to fast the next time cuz boy since I got on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) I eat like a horse and fasting for even 8 hours sucks.

I guess it has to do with what is tested. I know for a FACT that coffee with a tiny bit of sugar and creamer can make T rise at least 15%.
