Guys, which one would you recommend for someone trying to lose major bodyfat? I'm 29 years old, 6'3" 270lbs and 20% bf. My goal is to reach 8% bodyfat, so I'll be using either machine quite a bit:). So, what do you think???

recumbent bike definetly but if you have knee problems elliptical trainer i believe it has 0 impact on the joints if i am correct but either one will do of course

I had ACL surgery on my left knee, but that was over 4 years ago. It gives me trouble every now and then, but nothing major. So, you think the Recumbent bike will get the job done as far as helping get my bodyfat down? The reason I'm asking is as a former athlete, I've been conditioned to think that any exercise done on my feet is the best exercise.

The recumbent bike should do the job
i recently bought a excersice bike as well
i do 7miles for a good 30min workout
if youre worried about the knee in any way i might go with the eliptical but either one will get the bodyfat down as long as you diet of course :)

i prefer the elliptical trainer. But riunning is my #1 choice.
You better keep on the eliptical trainer.....a guy your size will ruin their knee joints .Good call.

I prefer the recumbent bike, I have a recumbent lifecycle I bought on ebay. The elliptical is pretty user friendly, but it still hurts my low back a little and I like to read while I'm not hitting the hard intervals. That's easier on a bike.

On the pavement it hurts my knees alot. On the treadmill don't hurt my knees at all.

i use recumbent and i bought one for my girl at home....sghe will use that before anything else in the bike catagory...

easiwer on her back and knees she claims...i use it because it is more relaxing to work with...
