Went to Endo 2 weeks ago cause my G.P. referred me as he was totally against my TRT doc who owns his own practice but is not an "endocrinologist".
Was on TRT for 2.5 yrs with no HCG while on. Long story short, I had very severe sleep apnea for a long time that was undiagnosed. Was told by Anti-TRT G.P. to try without the TRT and see how I did. Stayed clean for 14 months and Used HCG toward end of TRT. Stayed on ADEX 0.25 mg E3D for the 14 months off TRT.
T.T. never got over 291 ng/dl (while enhanced with ADEX) LH was at 4 IU/L and FSH 2 IU/L the entire off time from TRT.
ADEX is known to stimulate LH and FSH and also double T.T. levels just like Clomid does. The numerous studies on NCBI are clear on this.
This Endo is now proposing I do Clomid for 3 months 50 mg EOD and "then off everything", as he said.
If I never recovered being clean for 14 months and with ADEX too, what the hell is Clomid going to do for me?
I don't think this will work at all....

I really don't want to give up my TRT to go back and feel like shit. I honestly feel this Endo is not really knowledgeable in TRT. He does not use AI's, does not test for E2...he hinted that ADEX was raising my BIO AVAIL. T slightly. He really doesn't seem solid in his knowledge on TRT
Any comments?

hmm if you didn't recover in 14 months you're likely not going to recover.
Is your low T from previous aas use? If so 3 months of clomid could get you back on track but I doubt it.
My personal experience. Clomid shoots your levels up while your on it, but you still feel like shit, and once you stop levels fall.
I'd get with IMT or take some UG test while you look for a real Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) doc.

Are you using a sleep apnea device while you sleep? Improvement?

I have a TRT doc but he is not an "Endo" so I have no need to go for UG T. It's just this G.P. and Endo want to go about things differently and are deciding that T shots for life on me is not their first option. My T levels were 582 ng/dl with 0.25 mg ADEX E3D before TRT. They were lower without the ADEX for sure as I felt like crap when off it completely. Yes using CPAP for sleep.
It's been over 2 weeks since I saw this endo and he offered this clomid treatment and has yet to actually prescribe it.
Called him two days ago and he said he has not forgotten about me....
What's up with this?
It's real obvious he does not care or take serious anyone living with Low T. 2 weeks plus to get a script on paper and begin?

I know bro. But if I didn't go to that appointment that G.P. I went to would have held it against me if I ever needed him again.
That G.P. is really thorough on blood labs...he orders as many as I request.
No other doc does that. Even though we have a difference of opinion...he is thorough.

What's going "Off" everything going to do to restore my natural T production ???
Being clean(off TRT) for 14 months and on ADEX....T levels were hypogonadal and this Endo tells me to go "off everything" after his magical 3 month Clomid treatment is over...
On ADEX E3D for year and half almost and I'm hypogonadal. How's being clean going to help resolve things ??
This is insane. If my TRT doc hears this, he will surely freak out.
Can someone chime in here ???
