Facial hair and testosterone levels

Theoretically, if one were to reduce his testosterone levels to that of a female, would his facial hair and secondary hair continue to grow as usual because the gene expression is still there? Or does facial hair expression require a steady influx of DHT. I've always wondered if this could be used as a means to judge just how much testosterone you have coursing through your veins. My assumption is that after awhile, facial hair will turn from course, thick and scruffy to fine, thin hairs that are far less noticable, and the same goes for body hair.

I'm not an expert but I have noticed no different with facial/body hair when my levels were in the 300s and now when my levels were 900+. You could use a change in your own personal secondary hair as a possible symptom and indicator that maybe you should get BW done but the symptom alone won't tell a story. You certainly couldn't use lack of secondary hair/thinner secondary hair as a diagnosis indicator since that so much of it has to do with individual genetics.

Anectodally, I have noticed a change in facial hair growth rate and I also have grown hair on areas of my chest that did not have any before since starting TRT.

Since starting TRT the entire texture of the hair on my head changed. Went from straight to wavy. Weirdest thing but bitches love it for some reason lol.

Higher test levels make my facial hair grow faster and thicker. I still had facial hair when I was hypogonadal though (~190ng/dl). But women's TT levels are lower than that so I don't know personally what happens when you go below say 70ng/dl.

My nails grow fast too!

Why nails?
thought that was protein related. Never knew that.

When I was young, my hair was so curly I was called Weird Al (after the singer). When I was in my mid twenties it became straight and stayed that way until I went on TRT...now it is very wavy. I surmised it might be from the TRT.

I dot notice any changes in hair texture or growth from test, only Tren. But my nails grow like crazy as well, i have to cut them every 3 days and they are rock hard, almost break the nail clipper, lol!!

When I did D-bol in my 20's without test,I never grew facial hair until in my late 30's and maybe every 4-5 days. Then did D-bol with test and now shave about every 2-3 days...at 48 years and beyond.Could be the gene.
