Fiber and Cholesterol

I've read a diet high in fiber is good in lowering cholesterol, would taking something like Citrucel be just as good as actually eating foods higher in fiber?

Thanks

it would have to insoluble fiber, like the kind in oatmeal. insoluble fiber cannot dissolve in water and is said to soak up fats and cholesterol so they cannot be digested or absorbed by the body.

Have too much of it and you'll be farting all day long :) Go the easy way, stop by Wal-Mart and get some Policosanol, 90mg a day is what I was doing.
