Finasteride

Fellas,

Serious question that im sure has been asked before. When running test and factoring in genetic predisposition to hair loss, is running a finasteride like proscar, propecia etc a good idea for keeping unwanted DHT from hitting the scalp and drying out your follicles? In my own personal situation my hair appears to be thinning but not typical male pattern baldness with a widows peak and what not just general thinning. As a guy i obviously wanna keep my hair, would a finasteride interact negatively with the test? Or interfere with receptors?

Hope someone with a valid opinion also chimes in on this. I think it will vary from person to person. But I recenently asked my doctor about propecia and she told me that once you start you are on it for life. This may or may not be true, who knows. If it is true, that would suck to a pill for an extended period of time.
