finding the right TT level

On TRT for 5 months and finally dose was just doubled to 150 mg test C per week after no improvements on lower doses. Dr wants a blood test in 3 months so he can dial it in. I'm happy with that for now, but looking ahead I'm very curious about a couple things:

Some people "blast and cruise" and manage not to lose their TRT script, which seems like something might want to do someday in the future. It seems many guys feel 'good' from 1000 to 1200 TT, so I have two questions:

(1) How do guys feel mentally at higher levels than, say, 1200? If big gains were not more important than just having a sharp brain, happy attitude, etc, what range would you chose? In other words, do you sacrifice some feelings of wellbeing and take on negative feelings when higher than 1200 or so??

(2) If a guy went on a modest blast where he doubled his dose from 150mg/week to no more than 250-300, would he feel down when the body had to adjust to a lower dose of 150mg? I assume to come down from 500 to 150mg would be hard on the head.

Just very curious and trying to learn. I read tons of posts and it's just not clear enough for me, so I'd really appreciate hearing from the members.
Thanks guys - it's a great forum

1) Some guys notice a difference between TT of 600 and 1100. Some guys do not. Also, keep in mind that the higher your TT goes, the more complications you will get from unwanted side effects.

Make sure that you and your doctor are managing hematocrit and estradiol. Read the sticky I wrote in this TRT forum to learn more.

2). Yes, most guys will notice a mental difference when running a "blast" and there will be a loss of that euphoria when you come off. But unlike Natty guys, you don't have to go through the PCT process.

You should not even be thinking about blasting right now. Get dialed in first. Last thing in the world that you want to do is get busted by your doctor.

Also, normally discussions about blasting are best posted in the AAS section of the forum. Not in the TRT section.

Appreciate the reply and sorry I posted in wrong section. Low T has seriously turned my brain into crap. I'm not kidding.

Regarding hematocrit and estradiol, I will make sure that is tested in three months.

I agree. I'm not going to blast right now. I'm just weighing it up to see if it is an option for the future. And when and if I ever do a blast, I'm just thinking a modest blast to 1200, as long as the reduction afterwards does not result in depression or mood swing.

1200 is still within the normal range for TT (at most labs). That would not be considered a "blast".

Make sure you are donating blood every 56 days to manage your hematocrit.

I guess I'm calling it 'blast' because my doc considers 1000 to be the top limit. After I get dialed in I was thinking of going to 1200 after blood tests and then back to regular trt dose for 3 weeks before the next test. IF it did not mess my head up

I highly doubt you will notice any difference at all between 1000 and 1200.
After a couple years of thinking I was getting "Early-onset Alzheimer" disease, it's really great to have some help from this site.

You're doing a great job here, Megatron28
