Had a blast, met some great people and had a few learning experiences along the way. Here goes.

squat
635 good
670 good felt easy
705 el dumpo Didn't dump it purposely, one second it was on my back, the next it wasn't. I think the bar had more whip then i am used to and i never let it settle before i started my descent. I was a little shaken up after this.

Bench
490 miss
490 like an empty bar
520 good, grinded it out a little more than i should have needed to.

Deadlift
550, dropped opener from 585, used it as my last warmup and was going to right to 610 as i came with 1800 as a goal. Went up like a joke.

610 this was extremely fast, but instead of putting it down i dropped it and got red lighted. i have a nerve shooting down my hip into my leg and the descent really bothers it. I realized i shouldn't be dropping the bar as it was leaving my hands, lol. I was pissed at myself now as i had to pull my gym pr for a second time to hit 1800

610 smoked it again. i would have been good for 630-640 on the second attempt.

Felt great, learned a few lessons. Left some weight on the platform, was pissed i didn't get a shot at the 700 squat because i had it in me today. Ready to start bringing my squat up. I got a bunch of videos.


Total 1800, that was my goal for the day.

how did you go making weight? What were the other guys/girls like
 
congrats JCP2. sounds like you had a good time. I love hearing stories like this, I cant wait for my first comp in March.
