I'm new at this so will be a work in progress.
Background
Gender: Male
Age: 40 Years Old
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 200 lbs
Body Fat: Unknown; estimate between 15% (online calculators)
Lifting: 11 Years; clean
1997 to 2002 was a body building routine obtaining excellent results with reaching 207 lbs, low body fat percentage, lifting big and having a 50" chest and 18" biceps. 2002 to present due to aging, injuries and actively training martial arts; results are harder to obtain or maintain. Have undergone a few surgeries due to martial arts and some injuries that have made me modify how I train for both martial arts and weight lifting.
Starting Measurements
Weight: 200 lbs
Neck: 17"
Chest: 47"
Waist: 36" **
Bicep (R): 16 6/8"
Bicep (L): 16 3/8"
Thighs: 23.5"
Calves: 15.5"
** Wear 34" pants comfortably; actual measurement with tape measure surprised 36"
Gear
50 mg T-Bol (Turanabol) per day (oral)
100 mg Winstrol per Day (oral)
(Will advise later when home of manufacturer)
Close and personal friend suggested doing injections and of other gear due to his many years training with but opted not to. First time doing this and not big on needles and not looking for "huge" gains like many. While I want to see some of my old size come back an want to shed some pounds, I want it functional for martial arts. What I'm taking was suggested by his supplier after knowing what I'm looking for in results.
Duration of cycle will be 50 days.
Work Out; Program
Currently doing a 3 day split routine; usually Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
PUSH ... LEGS ... PULL
Workouts are approximately an hour; heavy weight low reps, 5x5 for Strength and Explosiveness. Work out hard, work out with intensity; get in and get out.
Opting at this time to eliminate cardio and will pick up later. Also putting martial arts on hold till January. Focus is weight lifting. If I'm going to do this I want to know what the results will be while doing this and not have the results skewered. Plus martial arts 4 hours a week (2 BJJ classes, 2 Muay Thai classes) could lead to over training which I have had issues in the past 6+ years doing martial arts and weight lifting together. Need to ensure I get the proper rest required.
Already eat decently with 5 meals a day, but will watch things more closely. Will be upping the protein intake as have not been over the last 2-3 years; not like I did back when I was in a body building routine. Drink water throughout the day and while working out; will continue.
Not a calorie watcher but may sit down and calculate the exact amount I'm taking every day to see if enough or too much. Also looked at a 6 week Testosterone Diet written by Jim Stoppani, PHD of Muscle & Fitness. Not sure I will do but has some good information that could help with results.
Starting Date
Started on Monday, November 24, 2008; already done one week. Measurements above taken prior to starting.
Have not measured after a week and will; do not notice anything as of yet. Workouts have not noticed any increases for strength though I have put more intensity into the workouts being able to lift a rep or two more and with some lifts some extra weight. This is a mental thing more then anything else; which is part of the game.
Will update shortly and try to at the beginning of each week.
