aside from flax oil bieng a clean "good" fat w/ out carbs how is related to leaning out?..or is it even helpful?

I can see how adding flax oil to a whey shake provides energy/cals while eliminating carbs, but I don't seem to get fat from carbs--"good complex carbs" could it still be helpful?
Is peanutbutter, natl. just as good as flax?

Omega 3's can improve insulin sensitivity, which can help you lose fat. It can also help improve overall health which will help you lose fat. I know fish oil can help improve stress response, but I'm not sure if this is a result of the omega-3s or some other mechanism.

Peanut butter is not the same as flax by a long shot.

I still say cod liver oil is the best oil you can use.

I would recommend flax on a cutting diet......Have been dieting for 8 weeks and usually take it twice a day and my diet is going great.....I will usually take it with a shake in my meal after my last carb meal and in a shake before bed....
Good luck!

I personally like Dr. " Udo's " Blend oil, that you can buy at whole foods or Central Market. It has all of the Omega group ( 3,6,9 ) and taste way better than flax oil which is mainly just omega 3's.

What is the purpose of omega-6 supplementation?

Dr. Udo Erasmus is misinformed, and it shows in his book and recommendations. I wouldn't recommend his oil unless you have a specific theraputic reason, and even then for only a short time.
