flexing

out of curiosity, how important is flexing individual bodyparts while not in the gym? does it help give a better mind-muscle connection? are you able to tear enough muscle fibers by flexing (for example: bi's/tris) to enhance growth? ive been doing it on occasion, and have noticed that i have better concentration in the gym when lifting weights, my muscles always feel tight, and i am starting to see the shape of each individual muscle more. pre-contest or not, how important is flexing for you?

i like to flex in the mirror somtimes just to see how/if im coming along... if your gettin ready for a show, ive heard flexing is VERY important, its equivillent to practicing in the batting cages or something, if you cant propperly swing the bad, and your form looks like shit... your not going to hit the ball very hard...

if you dont know how to get a good hard flex from your muscles on command and without weights, your flexes will look like marshmellows

This is not really related to the post, but I've always found it out odd how if you can hit a certain pose in the mirror, and you think it looks good and all, but if you take a picture of it and then look at it, you realize you don't know the first thing about posing.

If youre gonna compete you have to train at the posing bro, i pose ever day more or less (not much at all though).
But you wont grow any more if you flex.

The real bread and butter of doing a lot of flexing is that it increases neurogenic tone and vascularity. It puts the icing on the cake of low bodyfat.

joshisripped: hehe bro, i ment that if you flex alot, you wont grow more than if you dont flex.. catch me now? :)

I have just recently started flexing my quads when out of the gym and notice a difference in the feel of the muscle. Sometimes when I trained legs it was really hard for me to feel the muscles working but practicing flexing helps to create a better mind/muscle connection. This is anectdotal evidence so take it as you will, but it is my personal experience.
