So planning to do my.first show in April...
So beforehand I'm doing a "mock" cutting diet...
Just.to see which.foods/calories/and workouts work best for me that way I don't step on stage and not be prepared...
My drawback is this Tilapia is freakin killing me! I'm gagging down these damn meals! So tired.of this damn Tilapia! Especially since I pre-cook for 4 days at a time it's like it sucks fresh...
Wld Salmon be a good alternative even though it has more fat (good fat at least :))
I love salmon!

Thoughts?

look into clen its supposed to be sick.. idk about the fish bro try masking the shit out of it with weber roasted garlic and herb seasoning

Anyone else?

First of all kudos to you on staying away from clen and AAS in regards to your age. You showed a mental maturity severely lacking nowadays and I would personally like to acknowledge the wisdom of your decision :).

Now I'm not sure i understand your question completely? Are you asking what you can do to cover the taste of tilapia when pre-cooked or lookin for alternatives? Personally I can only eat tilapia the next day. Any longer than that and it tastes like shit. I've tried putting ketchup, hot sauce, mustard, etc and seeing as you're probably calorie conscience for a prep contest diet I'd go with some hot sauce or another no/low calorie sauce you can add to it WHEN you eat it. Cook it as normal and after you reheat it add the sauce. Also I know time is money but if you don't mind tilapia a day or old, try cooking more frequently. Tilapia takes no time in the oven or even toaster oven. I season mine with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and sometimes I'll add adobo or Sazon (Spanish seasonings) and rub it down LIGHTLY with some crushed crackers or bread crumbs. If you're doing contest prep you can't add much of this since it'll mess up your carb macro.

Salmon is a good alternative, I prefer it over tilapia, but like you said it's got a higher fat content. To make up for this cut fat from another meal or reduce the carbs for that meal or another meal. So long as the total caloric intake for the day is the same, the differences in results will be negligible. Maybe try tuna with mustard so you cook 1 or 2 days less worth of tilapia and get the tuna instead.

If I missed the point of your question I apologize let me know if I did. Best o luck to you in the contest and I'm serious, you're a shining example that not all younger ppl belong to the "I want it now" generation.

I've covered it in salsa or crushed tomatoes. Seems to help cover up the fishy flavor. Change it up though.... Sole, tuna, snapper all have different flavors and are low fat.

Not a fan of eating fish the next day though, the texture just doesn't do it for me

Never thought of salsa or crushed tomatoes. What a great idea. My uncle runs his own restaurant and is a chef so I'm goin to be asking him for some new ideas to make fish

Thanks for the compliment and the reply...though I must confess I did a short Var cycle...talked to a Dr about it off the record (knw him personally) and told me what boundaries to stay within...it was to aid in a surgery recovery because of the enhanced collagen synthesis and it did wonders with my healing process...but other than that I have decided to stay natty for a while...still new to the sport but it's become a lifestyle rather than a sport so I do see myself movin to the darkside one day lol...
But yea that answered my question...appreciate the input!

No problem. Good luck in the show next year! Post up some progress pics of your "natty" cycle and results at the show!

Thanks bro will do...
Not sure if I shld continue to try and cut down right now or not...after my surgery I went from 170 to 188 in 3 months...half of it was muscle memory, but I gained a good solid 12 lbs from my original weight before surgery and lost some bodyfat while I was at it...
But back to my point; I like getting bigger too much right now so I'm not to driven on this cut down considering I'm not doing it for a show...and thinkin about maybe just doing physique for my first show cus I'm not to happy with my legs at the moment, but guess that will depend on how much I.progress from now till then...
