Foreign Residency and TRT

For those that are U.S. citizens living abroad, perhaps you can answer this. My TRT protocol was prescribed by a Dr. outside of the U.S. I have residency outside of the U.S. I visit the U.S. once or twice a year.

What about customs? If my Dr. issues me a script here, can I take just enough T-cyp with me to cover the length of my trip to sustain my TRT protocol (120 mg a week)?

Is this legal? Or could I face problems. My Dr. seems to suggest that everything is just fine, and he often deals with "Medical Tourism" and patients from the U.S. ...but, I want to get other opinions on this.

The alternative is to get pellets for during the trip, but I just don't want to deal with that...as I have heard not so great things about that.

Due to the classification of testosterone, it may be difficult to legally get more than 3 months supply prescribed or filled.

You can travel with prescription medications. Just bring documentation with you to be safe.

Megatron,

Just to be clear and validate, this is travel from a foreign country into the United States, with a prescription from a foreign Dr., and I am a U.S. citizen. I will have documentation from the Dr., and I will only be bring three weeks of T with me, or whatever is still left in the vile, but you do not expect any possible issues with this? I realize that you are not official legal council, but I suspect you know of others having done this and it be just fine, in your tenure here at this forum?

That is a tricky question. I don't think anyone could really say, unless they have experience with this situation. You could try contact homeland security or DEA or whoever the hell is in charge of this type of issue. Hopefully you don't get too much red tape in your way.

LOL...get flagged and put on some type of list...LOL...but you are likely right. ... in order to be "sure"

Yeah, i would call straight to the source. The real challenge is finding out who or what that source is. Get straight from the devil's mouth and you will know what you have to deal with. I doubt the answer could be found on this forum but there might be someone who knows a little more about it.

A lab got busted in the south west recently. Homeland security seized like 300 grams of raw test powder and the guys are in jail now. ( i think that's the story)

i personally think you will be fine since your only visiting.. but i agree with megatron.. call and ask.. whats it going to hurt?

Good information...the articles do not detail what constitutes as a valid prescription, meaning, whether foreign prescriptions are valid, but, it does offer a contact number which I will use. Once I find out, I will let the forum know in case others ever have the same question...
