This thread will be a different sort of view on the opinion that I personally have on alot of people's viewpoints or stances on the gear related issue and whether or not to take the plunge over into the darkside.
I have seen alot of threads as of late going towards the side effects of gear, the ramifications of using, making sure you are educated, etc. All very very very good points, but IMO their is some things that I find troubling and/or startling. Not so much with the people that have been writing them as for what I have seen they are all seasoned vets and know their shit.
But what I don't understand is the people that have been around on the boards talking about their diet is perfect, they know how to train, you know who I am talking about. Its the people that are too bullheaded to admit that they are not man enough to maybe even consider the fact that they don't know shit about getting big or what it takes to get there. There are very few that do, look around at the boards you can spot very easily after awhile who knows what they are talking about and who is the ones hiding behind a computer "persona" that they have drummed themselves up to be.
These people are the ones that spend countless hours on end talking about gear, telling others how to run gear and "preaching" the gospel of anabolic information. Well you know what......knowing how to put a cycle together and running it is about as fucking easy as it gets in this game! The hard part is the diet, lifting, and discipline it takes to take your self to that "next level". You won't see too many of the "preachers" in the weight lifting areas of the boards, you know why?
It just might show them up to be less that what they make themselves out to be and damage their reputation. These are the people you want to stay away from.
What I consider as some alternate approachs to maybe some of us "younger" or less "seasoned" lifters who haven't been in the "game" as long as others is to go get a damn personal trainer. Now some of you are probably laughing your ass off right now and I probably won't get through to you at all but anyways.....
Look at it like this their are several big name personal trainers on the boards that live and die this shit and they have spent literally COUNTLESS hours of research and trial and errror on their own behalf and on other people they have trained through the years. Now you tell me if you and your 5 or LESS years of what you call lifting and researching diets, lifting routines, etc. can count up or even come close to comparing to such names as Doggcrapp (In-Human), Iron Addict, Silverback ( aka *SB*), Swolecat, etc. I doubt any of us can even come close to some of the contributions these people have made in our community and the information they have shared with us.
I am not here to tell you who is the best trainer or whose program works the best. That is up for you to decide as it is very individualistic and you need to find someon that you can afford and that you feel comfortable working with as if you pick someone you don't feel 100% comfortable working with then you are going to second guess them all the time and you will probably end up failing.
And then you have the people that say having a personal trainer is too exspensive, well FUCK THAT! Plain and simple, this will be the same person that can't afford a personal trainer but they are going to go out and spend $400 on a cycle yet they can't afford a personal trainer.
These are the same guys you see that are doing 1gram plus doses of test, 100mg Tren ED, 600mg EQ/wk all while weighing under 200lbs and saying they need those high doses to "feel" the gear working. Now I am going to go out on a limb here, a short one at that
And say that they don't know what the fuck they are doing and are undereating and/or overtraining. I am not saying I know what I am doing but I dont get off and see how people with 5-6 years or less experience in the gym can say that. Based off of what knowledge and EXPERIENCE do any of us have to say or make any of these claims? Other than reading it from some of the more "seasoned" vets have wrote before and we just took it and used it!
I am working with one of the trainers I have listed here and it is VERY differnt style of liftin then what I am accompanied to but I just said FUCK IT and went with it, no second guessing. I have so far in my first 4 weeks with this guy lost a 1-2% BF (enough to see more abs) and gained 20lbs on bench and 20lbs on my squat. Thats losing FAT and gaining muscle in only 4 weeks and doing it natty! Most people can't even do that with the help of gear, let alone doing it natty and I am what most would consider shitty genetics.
I have always thought I had shitty genetics and I know I have. I was a fat kid my whole life and was fat enough to lose 25 lbs as a sophomore in H.S. to wrestle 103. THATS FAT! I have always been slower, fatter, shorter, and weaker than damn near 90% of the people in my age bracket. Now if that doesn't scream shitty genetics then I don't know what does.. But what I thought were what I called shitty genetics were actually my plan not executed correctly.
Thats why I always wonder when I hear people say "I have shitty genetics and I can't grow" how do they know that? I know cuz I been there before too and made all those excuses. I am just know getting to finally admit that my own bullheadedness (not sure if thats a word ) got in the way of me learning and if maybe one person takes this thread to heart and tries to implent some things then I will be happy.
Until you have someone in YOUR corner showing you what to do and why to do it or you have accumulated the experience FIRST HAND how do you know anything? The easies times in the gym are the first two years as you basically grow off anything and everything, its years 2-5 that I think alot of people turn to gear as their "magic" gains they first got when they first started lifting are now diminishing and now they dont know what to do as their original plans didn't work out.
No two people are alike nor will they grow alike, everyone is individualstic and for us people that are not in the game as long as others or dont have the genetics to match up to some of our other brothern in the game, that just means we have to work that much harder to try and accomplish our goals.
But I guarantee their are people out here that have some or alot more gosh damn natural talent than me and I hate to see it go wasted by men being "men" and not being man enought to admit that they don't know what the fuck they are doing when it comes to the whole weight lifting lifestyle. I only know of a few bros on the boards that I would actually consider "gurus". Fuck, even some of the people that are the true monsters on boards have trainers and then we have the PLETHORA of 18-23 year olds more worried about knowing how to run a cycle when they dont even have steps 1 and 2 finished yet.
So who do you want in YOUR corner?
