Gave blood yesterday....Question.

Maurij1: You would be surprised just how stupid/ignorant folks can be. I know deep down it's obvious that I use AAS, but I still deny anything beyond TRT at the gym/work. Every so often I do open my mouth, and they either nod while still thinking the opposite, or just decide to remain ignorant.[/QUOTE]

I don't tell people I'm on aas other than TRT but unfortunately I helped one person set up a cycle and word spread. Everyone at works always asks me what I take and I tell them lot's of food, protein and creatine and that satisfies most. I'm sure the people that talk behind my back are saying much worse but it never gets back to me so I never let it bother me..,like you said some people are just ignorant!!

Is it important to donate while onTRT? Anyone.

It is important to get your blood work done and check Hematocrit to KNOW if you need to start donating on a regular basis or not. You could donate just to donate, heck it will help someone out, but blood work will tell you your answer for sure.

You say some weird shit sometimes lol

Just cause I m a character does not mean I have no character....I like the word different...weird s so...weird.

Soldier--ur bloods will dictate if u NEED to give...but to give on occasion is not only good karma but good blood "maintenance" as well I m o.

Wouldn't have ya any other way brother!!! Thanks for the info. You think I will have a problem since I've had hep c in the past?? Or is that something that won't come up?

Red Cross tests for hep c. If positive you will get a letter barring you from future donations.

I was More So wondering if the fact that I have had it in the past, if that would effect me being able to donate. I'm clear of it now after treatment....thank God!

The Red Cross will not allow you to donate if you have ever tested positive for hepatitis C.

You have to lie to them if you're on juice. They test all the blood they get. If it's tainted, they throw it out

Gotcha! So no need to tell them I've had hep c....even if they ax?
Easy solution: Talk to your doctor, explain the importance of donating as you're on TRT. Have your doc sign a letter indicating that you require therapeutic phlebotomy treatment. You can then take this to the red cross and let them decide what to do with your blood.

I remember hearing something about how therapeutic phlebotomy guys get a different set of rules, and they can still use their blood. I'd at least check it out.

Otherwise, you can just get the phlebotomies done via script, which may be covered by insurance.

Yep. They keep a file on you, and it includes RBC, WBC, plasma losses, platelet counts, pathogen evaluation and previous vitals. You *might* be able to access this from their site too; but I've never tried.

I just looked, you can only see your blood type.

Depends on what you mean by "on juice". I always tell them I am on Hormone Replacement Therapy and that I self inject Testosterone Cypionate. Neither the local Blood Bank nor the Red Cross have banned me for me. In fact, they call me every 56 or so days and beg for my blood.
