Hi All
Was coming to the end of my 10 week routine and was going to either take a week off and try gvt, or just go right on in to it.
Heard w alot of good things about it so gvt it is, my idea would be
Back
Deads 10x10
Pulldowns 3x15
Traps (love to train) 10x10 or 3x15

Chest
D press 10x10
Inc press 3x15
Bis
Culrs 10x10

Legs
Squats 10x10
Extension 3x15
Lying leg curls 10x10
Calf raises 10x10

Shoulders
Db pulls 10x10
side raises 3x15
Tris
Cg press 10x10
Wrists
curls 10x10

What do you guys think? Any info would be much appreciated

so 10 weeks of training, no break, and then jumping straight into 23+ sets per day. overtrain much?

i have seen people have good results with GVT, but they were either probably
1. constantly on cycle
2. or had incredible genetics that would allow them to grow from mowing their grass.

i imagine i would be horribly overtrained after a few months of that...with or without regularly scheduled breaks from training.

its too short a time to actually accomplish anything substantial with it. Its probabl long enough to be able to tell whether you like it or not though, and whether its working for you.

it seems like you are like i used to be when i started out...you jump from program to program trying to find the perfect one, when all you have to do is
set up a good split
eat
and give it some time (as in many months)

Thanks for the reply, my credentials are as follows-ahem..
Been traing for over 15 years on and off, been hitting it hard for 5 years now.
Use the usual supss, like creatine and protein powder.
Just want to add more size, at the moment I squat 220 for 1rm
dead 200 for 1rm, curl 62.5 for 8, sldl 145 for 8, db press 50 for 6 if that helps, just want to add some bulk at the moment, have just up the protein and carbs by 100grams today

i dont have any experience with GVT, so i cant give my opinions on it personally, but i am a fan of low volume.

I prefer upper/lower body splits, training MWF.

Give the GVT a shot if you want, just eat and you will gain weight. If youve been training for 10 weeks straight id take a week off and eat at maintenence, then jump into GVT.

german bulgarian volume training...same thing...

i did the german volume training for legs...i feel the only muscle that really benefits from it is legs...the rest of the muscles you should just train the same as before....but i did 10x10 of squats and it was pukin rally every time i did it, but im glad that i did, i gained 3 1/2 inches on my legs this year, and i know the gvt definately helped. just my .02

dont get me wrong, i think maybe a month of this 10x10 on squat day is it...then after the month is over go back to training 3-4 sets of 4-8 reps on all your body parts.

man with your #'s you should be concentrating on strength gains and eating like a mad man!the 3 day basic pling routine would do for you.it's in the sticky's.the do deadlifts thicken waist to be exact.follow that routine and eat alot and you will be happy.i gaurantee it!remember strength=size.

pretty ricky-sorry dude, as matt said, I was working in kilos. Anyway its my week of the training, just gonna do some light cardio then next week see how it goes.
