Getting a gut?

So I've been bulking for a while. I'm happy with how I'm progessing but I feel I've got a problem on my hands. I figure my bf is somewhere around 14-16% maybe? I really don't have much fat on my arms/legs or upper back or in my ass. The fat mostly sits around my waistline and stomach. When I pinch around my stomach I'd say theres aprox. about 3/4 to an 1in? of fat that I can feel but my stomach looks much bigger than that. I think that a mixture of eating medium to large quanities of food on a regular basis has expanded my stomach combined with the fat I've put on and now I've got somewhat of a gut. I'm sure alot of ya'll are farmiliar with what I'm trying to describe here. I'm trying to increase my cardio sessions and for the most part it has been working for me. Maybe I've become more sensitive to carbs? Any advice? Should I modify my diet?

hey man, I've had a "muscle belly" for like two years. Mainly because of my eating habits. I really cleaned up my food intake and instead of eating huge meals, I just eat less and more often. I also been doin more cardio and am finally showin a sixpack. my body fat % is still at 11%, but i'm still workin on it.

I would advise you to try and avoid procesed foods and eat small meals every 3-4 hours, with cardio 4 days a week and that adipose tissue will start melting off.
I hope someone else will jump in here with more advice.

Eating small meals every 3-4 hours doesn't meet my protein requirments. I eat 3 large meals 3 small-medium sized meals a day every 2-2 1/2 hours. Thats for the solid advice though bro, appreciate it.

im the same as you rougen, if i start to get fat i lower my carb intake but increase my protein intake so that i am having the same amount of calories as i was before, and with cardio i usually get a sixpack from it. but thats how my body works! you gotta work out how your body reacts best.

When you lower your carb intake which meals are you lowering it for? I'm thinking I should start making my lunches Lean protein+veggie only. I already cut carbs out past 7.

well i tend to take most of my carbs during the morning so that i can burn them off throughout the day! if i was you i would lower the carbs in your afternoon meals and any meals after that.

This is going to be trial and error to see what works for you.

You could try more fats and less carbs to get your calories or what the other posters suggest as well. It's all about learning how your body responds.

Don't forget about protein shakes to meet protein requirements either. Most people can drink a quick shake inbetween meals.

Thanks for chiming in MM, always good to hear from you. I'm going to change up my diet/cardio a little bit. Lean protein+veggie+fat for lunch, PWN, and PWO will stay the same, I'll intake carbs in my PWOM stay with the 6-8 egg whites I'm having 1;30-2hr after dinner and I'm going to start drinking my night time shakes with water instead of milk. I'm also gonna change my cardio accordingly and really work on getting the 45min-1h sessions in 3x a week. We'll see what happens. Hoping for the best! Any input on how long it'll be before I start to notice anything? I'm cycling PP 1ttren atm and will be for the next 6ish weeks.

I always say be patient....some people don't see results for weeks.

Take weekly pictures and then compare them.....you will notice things more than just looking in the mirror daily.
