Good or Bad???

I get very fustrated with myself and this is why.... Ive been training for about 10 yrs... and like alot of guys i would get seriousand make good gains then something would always come up and I would slack off for long enough it was like starting all over again. But anyways what I wonder about myself is why my bench is so weak... for instance... Ive been doing great for the last few years and for the most part hopefully, for an average guy im kinda strong you tell me!
Ive finally got my deadlift to 405..no straps just chalk.
Tonight I squatted 315 4 times for a few sets and not the real shallow ones you see retards doing trying to do heavy weight...lol
I can Dumbell row 140's with no straps, chalk for about 6-8 reps.
BUT, and this is where i wonder if ive got some sort of serious mental block! My bench is only about 205 for 4 reps for sets....
Dont you think by now i should be easily doing 225???..LOL
It seems like about any fit teenager that comes walking in can do at least that..lol
But i can Incline Dumbell press 80 - 90 for reps......
What do you think about that????
If you wonder my size... Im just over 6', 230 with normal BF, lol no idea! My waist is like 35 - 37... depending on my latest eating binge..LOL
Well if im a wierdo with a strong back and a weak chest then ill just live with it and try to improve over time..lolTelll me what you think!!!

I have the same problem. My chest is by far my weakest muscle group. I've made pretty good progress lately though. You just have to make sure to push yourself on chest days. It's probably due to genetics. With patience the gains will come.

If you are tall then it is hard because your arms are long so you have to move the weight a lot farther than someone who is 5'6".

But I always felt a good rule of thumb is a person should be able to rep his bodyweight atleast 10 times. 205 really is a pretty weak bench for someone your size. Perhaps your form has sucked for so long that you never built your bidy up correctly? Where do you put your fingers in relation to the rings on the bar?

I used to put my index finger on the ring.... in the last year or more ive brought my pinky on the rings. My chest has always been sore a day after or so almost no matter how i work it unlike my back which never gets sore but is strong..lol makes no sense to me.
As far as my form ive always tried to be in control... Ive never gone fast enough to bounce it off my chest...Ive always gone slow enough to just touch and push it off......
I dont know what to do..lol

Your chest area could be just weaker, which could be do to your 1. genes and 2. your dwelling (psyche)on this which reinforces this. You could be setting your self up for failure in this area do to your thinking which reinforces anything your mind believes, therefore "think" optimistically on chest day, pound your chest with as much weight as your proper form will allow and don't worry about how much your doing now because your main focus now is to get pass this runt that your in , and in time with the proper eating and sleep your chest will be where you want it to be. Stay Focused bro..

One thing that I think is killer for pecs is cable crossovers done correctly. They really isolate the pecs. Also, concentrate on bringing up your front delts and triceps since they are very involved in benching.

LOL well when a teen comes in and benches more than you, you sure feel like a pussy..LOL But on everything else i can do more than the average...like you said ill just keep on keepin on...lol
Good to hear im not the only one with psyche problems in this area.ol
