gout and low Testosterone related?

Looking to see if there are others here with gout issues before TRT. I started getting Gout about 8 years ago (at age 31) even though I rarely ate trigger foods. Of course I was put on Allopurinol and all is well. From what I've been reading about Gout, it is a leading indicator that you have a chemical/hormonal imbalance of some kind. Ironically, I've also been battling fatigue and other low T related symptoms for about the same time frame.

I'm wondering if TRT will cure Gout, in that I will no longer have to take Allopurinol - this is the only med I take..well besides Cypionate. Looking for feedback / experience from others.

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12420070

A total of 107 patients with primary gout were examined. The pituitary-gonadal system is imbalanced in male patients with gout, which manifests by hyperproduction of progesterone and suppressed production of testosterone and estradiol. These changes are more pronounced in patients with chronic arthritis and proteinuric nephropathy. Similar dyshormonal changes are experimentally simulated in rats by induction of purine metabolism disorders. Exogenous injection of androgens in experimental hyperuricemia led to normalization of purine metabolism and hormonal homeostasis.

I've never thought about it but I haven't had a flare up since starting TRT. Use to get them frequently where I had a foot smashed up years ago. Maybe you're on to something.
