hack squat machine with pins?

I have seen quite a few hack squat machines..the one at my home gym is old school almost upright with padding and you load plates onto it.

The one at the gym at my school is a little different..it is more a machine, you use a pin for the stack.. and the machine keeps your body almost parallel to the floor.

you guys ever see a hack squat machine like this?
 
There's one of those at my gym but it's so easy to do the whole stack its not even worth looking at, I only got on it becuase my ex girlfriend was using it and I wanted to show off, haha

I didn't even use it for long enough to tell, I just wanted to show the girl how easily I could do the whole stack. I would think the weight is too light for it to be really good, just stick to regular hack squats and/or leg press (Of course do normal squats first)

I just do reg hack squats w/barbell and weights right from the floor. Seem to fry my legs. Just make sure your form is good. Sorry, can't help ya on the mnachine though.
 
problem with barbell hack squats..you have to stand on a cardio stepper or something to get deep enough..

I am sure i can get just at parallel w\out being elevated but i like to squat deep!

build a box. I've build several boxes of different hights and use them to stand on when doing dls at times. Will give it a try next time i do hacks. I usally just went para w/hacks and deep w/everything else.

I tried barbell hacks before, i can never seem to clear my legs in the back properly.

i have the exact same problem... it feels weird trying to lean forward more so you dont tip backwards too.
